Hi from Kali in the Meltemi camp site at beautiful Mavrovouni beach in Greece. Mavrovouni is about 3km from Gythio in Laconia and is where the caretta-caretta sea turtles choose to lay their eggs from May til August. I’m an Ozzie travelling through Europe and I’m spending four weeks volunteering with the Sea Turtle Protection Society of Greece helping to locate and protect the turtle nests until the babies hatch. After a busy morning surveying turtle nests I love to relax with a good book. I think READING IS COOL too.
Thank you Kali for sending us your reading pic and sharing your adventures in Greece. I wasn’t aware that the volunteer project existed until receiving your email. It looks like an exciting way to see the world, meet new friends, and make a real contribution to world wildlife conservation.
