I received this message and photo for the students of Tenambit Public school from the Newcastle Knights on Friday.
“When the players at the Newcastle Knights aren’t busy on the training field, they love to relax by reading. Football players do a lot of exercise. They also do a lot of reading as they believe reading is exercise for their brain.
The players train hard and practice their football to improve their skills.
They also practice their reading because they know that practice makes perfect.”

When did the Knights come to school?
They didn’t visit our library Zharnee, but sent through the message because they too see how important it is to be a reader. The photo was taken at Newcastle city library. Who knows maybe if we asked them they might visit our library too.
