Phasmid by Rohan Cleave

The book I read and chose to do a review on is Phasmid Saving the Lord Howe Island Stick Insect by Rohan Cleave and Coral Tulloch.

Phasmid tells the story of the life of the Lord Howe Island stick insect. Phasmids life changes when a ship runs over ground on the coral reef releasing black rats. The rats are so hungry that they eat most of the stick insects. There are only 30 left on the island. Somehow they get to a close by island called Balls Pyramid. Scientists are unsure how they got there and miraculously stumble across them by mistake.

I recommend reading this book because it is very informative and taught me a lot of the Lord Howe Island stick insect. The illustrations all throughout the book are amazing. I give this book 8/10. This book is suitable for scientists and people interested in insects and living things.
